Minimum Gross Sales:
The minimum gross revenues for a candidate
is as follows;
|
ITP |
ATP |
DTP |
|
$50,000.00 |
$150,000.00 |
$300,000.00 |
Note that the gross sales will be
verified by a schedule C, 1099 or other
financial records. Gross sales will be
adjusted for commission splits through a
host agency. As an example, if an agent
received commissions from a host agency
of $3,000.00 and the commission split
with the host is 60/40, this would
qualify as gross sales in the amount of
$50,000.00.
Pass TPN Test: A test has been
designed to assess the basic body of
knowledge and ethics required to operate
as a professional travel agent. It is
intended to be used as an educational
tool and not an evaluation of your
travel agent abilities. We believe that
every professional agent should possess
certain knowledge that attests to their
overall understanding of the profession.
Once you have submitted your
Application, you will be sent a link and
password to take the test. There are 55
questions that require a grade of 80% or
above to pass. Passing this test is
required to obtain the designation,
however, one can take it a number of
times should they not pass it the first
time. As a learning tool, the test is
self-monitored. Once you have completed
the test, your score will be revealed
along with any questions you may have
missed. Reflect on your mistakes, learn
the correct answers and retake the test.
Meet the Minimum Number of
Industry Immersion Points to Qualify for
Designation: In addition to
the other requirements, a candidate must
take an active role in the industry and
make an effort to increase their travel
agent knowledge base. Therefore,
candidates must show they have met the
minimum number of immersion points
required for each designation.
